

Located in Parkdale, Matt’s Burger Lab is a purveyor of fine Canadian comfort dining from the esteemed Chef Matt Yilmaz. Originally from Turkey, Matt grew up in kitchens and always experimented various ways of cooking with his out-of-the-box ingredients because of his passion for science and chemistry.
Matt's Burger Lab is also a destination for over-the-top halal burgers.
"Lab"-like twists include servers in lab coats, vials and syringes full of sauces that can be injected into burgers, images of scientists on the walls and science-themed names for menu items make you feel like you are in a laboratory with the only exception is that you get to taste the experiment.
Beef patties are all made in house by hand from 100 per cent striploin beef, a higher grade cut than is used in many restaurants.
In addition to beef and lamb, we also offer fish, chicken and veggie burgers, plus steak sandwiches and hot dogs.
We have many side options from poutines to loaded fries. Impossible to actually get your mouth around and in danger of toppling, of course, but components like the gravy and the house-made sauces are solid on their own.
